We are surrounded by MISSING LINKS. The Theory of Evolution is plagued with them. So is where I left my car keys. How is it possible for so many of them to remain missing? In some cases, when we do finally discover one that leads to a solution, it is common to ask ourselves, “How did I not see this sooner?” In other cases it is convenient to define non-existent LINKS as simply MISSING and thereby justify attempts to validate what cannot be validated. Entire industries and vocations have been developed around this premise with movements like political correctness there to provide levels of protection.
